Very unpleasant odor

Ive owned this vacuum since December 2022 and generally it has proved satisfactory. However after cleaning the exhaust filter recently by washing it out and letting it dry a very unpleasant odor developed that has been very difficult to eliminate. Ive since bought a new exhaust filter from LG replaced the pre-filter and thoroughly washed out the cyclonic mesh filter and havent been able to completely eliminate the odor. This appears to be a design flaw in the unit in that cleaning out these filters in accordance with the instructions shouldnt result in a bad odor that is extremely difficult to eliminate. Im getting close to the point where Ill purchase a new unit but it wont be an LG.

Unpleasant odor

Overall its an OK vacuum but the biggest problem I have is the odor that is created after you wash the pre-filter and fine dust filter. For some reason after washing them as recommended in the product manual they develop an unpleasant odor that is difficult to eliminate.

This is my second LG cordless stick vacuum and I highly recommend it. Does it provide the same suction power as a high-quality upright for a deep clean? Well no but Im not aware of any stick vacuums that do. Stick vacuums instead are great for daily cleaning in this regard I am very pleased with this vacuum and it picks up a lot of dirt and dust. I also love the cordless convenience and the light on the floor attachment is a fantastic addition to the vacuum compared to my older LG. Its amazing what the light shows that is otherwise invisible to the naked eye. Also unlike most stick vacuums this one comes with a charging stand which I much prefer over a wall mount. Again I highly recommend this vacuum

Extremely disappointing results

I was skeptical to buy a cordless stick vacuum. My husband insisted we get this one. I prefer a corded vacuum with a larger capacity. But we got this one. It works okay in general. But the quality is terrible. Doesnt suck up anything as big as a bead. Thats crazy to me. $600 vaccuum cant suck up a tiny bead? I end up using this worthless thing after Ive already swept the whole house. And even then its missing things and leaving dirt on the floor. Ive cleaned and recleaned this entire vacuum inside and out and it doesnt get any better. It just sucks. The battery has never lasted through cleaning my 1600sqft house either. I bought a vacuum on Amazon for $60 and its significantly better.

All the parts are seemingly unavailable for this vacuum. Ive tried to contact LG about this multiple times to no avail. Not a fan of how flimsy this thing is. Especially considering Shark and Dysons vacuums are around the same price point I would definitely not ever buy an LG vacuum again considering this thing cost 600 dollars.

Great vacuum for some but...

The vacuum is light weight with serious suction. I love the upright charger the and that the unit can be easily taken apart. That said a large Australian Shepherd dog whose coat ranges up to 6inches long and 2 cats. The vacuum does not appear to have issues with the cats shorter fur unfortunately the long dog fur is a different story. Itquickly clogs where debris comes into the collector bin so I have to take it apart using the unlocking tool frequently to unclog. Overall I think this will be a great vacuum for anyone that does not have long furred pets.

Do not recommend - major clogging issues

I purchased this product in June 2022 and was very pleased at first. The one plus side is the battery life - it has been consistent the whole time and I rarely even need to use the backup battery. However Ive now owned it for 18 months and would never recommend that anyone purchase this to anyone. I vacuum weekly and dont have any pets that shed yet I have to stop and unclog the nose of the canister 3-4 times while Im vacuuming 3000 sq. foot house. This involves taking out the silver cylinder in the middle of the canister holding down the release button while simultaneously sticking a knife up the canister to try to get all the debris trapped above the seal. This should not happen with a vacuum that costs $599. It also has very poor suction when I use the smaller attachments. I dont know if mine is defective or not but when I reached out to LG for help their solution was for me to pay $280 to have it shipped somewhere to be repaired. Im not sure if this would have been the solution had it been within the 1 year warranty but I am extremely disappointed with this option. It seems like other reviewers have also had issues with clogging and I hope this review can steer the next person away from making the same mistake I did. .

Lowes would not accept it back where I bought it and I have been waiting 3 weeks for return shipping labels to send it back to LG for repairs. Convenient but a few issues

Ive had this vacuum for about 8 months. The fro t wheels keep coming off and I have to pick up the pieces and use pliers to pop them back in. This started after the wheels werent moving smoothly anymore on hardwood floors. My other issue is that on low power its practically useless and on the highest power the battery dies in a short time. I have dogs and vacuum frequently. The pros are not having to manually dump the dust and first after each vacuum. It also looks really nice and tidy.

It broke in less than 6 months never will I buy another one it wont charge Ive called and tried to get them to fix it give me a refund or exchange this one for a brand new one and they wouldnt they said they will send mine in for repair and Ive been waiting on the shipping label to send it in for repairs and havent received one on my email I had to contact the president of lg the presidential team and I actually received a text that asked if I received it yet and said that it should be there cause she looked yesterday but still no email Ive confirmed my email plenty of times so in my eyes its the biggest waste of 600 Ive every spent so I recommend no one getting this vacuum I spent 600 so that I would have a good vacuum that would last but this aint it for sure and the lg service is sucks they wont resolve anything Ill never buy anything lg agin thats forsure

Is it worth the trouble to open the box?

At my age over 70 the task of putting this together was daunting. It sat four weeks till I called customer service. The lady sent me a video that showed how easy it was and also was not limited to being mounted to a wall. That bothered me to have it mounted in an open place exposed to family and friends just to be charged. Now I have it stowed away and bring it out to be charged away from its stand. It is lightweight and easy to use. Vacuums well. Im glad I broke it out of its box finally to find out if I like it or not. I do.

I have a shark robot vacuumed but I needed something that is quick and easy to use in between. love it so much it has 2 battery packs one even sits in the charge spot. I vacuumed my entire house and it never ran out of charge. This is worth the price if you are looking for a good stick and canister for pets. Also I own several LG products and love them all and the IQ app. I have to order the pet partvac bottom attachment that didnt come with it though.
