Terrible experience

Fine Until Something Goes Wrong

It was a great fridge for a year. Out of no where the freezer side decided not to keep things cold. Everything melted. It stays cold but not cold enough. Were past our year warranty and we were told we would need to contact a licensed LG repair person. The closest one is 3 1/2 hours away. We would have to pay for their mileage and time and then they said they would pay for the part. The cost would be almost the same as a new fridge. My wife was on the phone for over an hour with their support team and that was the best we got.

Absolutely loved the fridge and the small door on the front but at year 4 after buying it new the fridge has multiple problems and ended up being refunded due to all the mechanical issues. It was a very long process and months without a fridge before being refunded.

I bought my LG REFRIGERATORS DOOR IN DOOR 26 CU.FT Product # LSXS26366D and S/N 102MRCJOM387 and was very disappointed after learning that the compressor was defective which went out after having it only one year and 8 months I only had 3 months before my warranty expires luckily it went before it expired. Was told LG knew about the defective compressor and placed them on that model anyway. Not a happy customer.

I replaced my older fridge unit that lasted 15+ years with this unit. The design is great with the double doors. Lots of space in both the fridge and freezer nice exterior color and finish. I purchased this in 2018 and unfortunately here I am in 2023 with a possible if not probable broken compressor. I dont know for sure as I am still waiting on the repair company to get parts in come out and evaluate the situation. Almost two weeks with out a fridge freezer honestly if this unit wasnt still under warranty I would be purchasing a different unit. LG the repair team have been good to work with it is just a long patient waiting game to get this fixed especially with a 1 year old child in the house.

We purchased our refrigerator back in February 2019 and felt that the features were great love the easy access door. We became very concerned on April 13 2023 when it stopped cooling. But I gotta say our LG service Tech Daniel went above and beyond to get us back up and running. Daniel also gave me a tip about our LG washing machine also from 2019 here it is you only need two 2 tablespoons of laundry detergent or fabric softener for this machine a huge savings on supplies.

We love the Door in a Door

We had numerous issues with a couple of French Door refrigerators so we decided to go back to the side by side. Then we discovered the Door-in-a-Door option with this LG model and that was the decision maker for us. It is so handy to open just the Door-in-a-Door to grab our most-selected foods such as condiments butter drinks and sandwich-making items. The ice maker works great. The ability to dump out the ice cubes to put into a cooler is very easy to do. The water filter changing process is much easier than other refrigerators we have had. And the water and ice dispensers are perfect for filling up our drink glasses. There is plenty of space for everything we need in both the refrigerator and freezer areas. We are very satisfied with everything about this refrigerator and highly recommend it.

Freezer will not stay cool.

If the power The freezer will not stay below 32 so it will not make ice and you cant count on keeping your food frozen. Good luck getting LG to help. T

This fridge is awesome. The small door makes it super easy to get frequently used items quickly the black stainless stays clean and smudge/fingerprint free and the icemaker works perfectly unlike some other brands and the water line doesnt freeze over. The filter is very easy to replace.

Nice fridge

Its a nice fridge but wasnt expecting when we had it just about 3 years that it would breakdown on us so quickly. The compressor went bad and it ruined all our food. But thank goodness because I stumbled upon LGs website and a rep told me about the warranty on it. The only thing is is that many reps and the call was routed outside the US the only thing they did was try to get me off the phone. I was disappointed. Then I got some lovely rep who helped me get to a higher rep team both of these reps gave me the true situation on my fridge: thank you.sure it didnt help get it fixed any sooner but at least I got info on what was really going on.

Great refrigerator until it quit working.

I really loved the door in door feature and the ice maker. But it was only 5 years old and I came home one day and the freezer had quit working and the fridge had quit cooling. I lost hundreds of dollars of food. LG told me they couldnt send a repair person the rest of the month and they were going to try to find some other company. I never heard from them again.

I bought this for years ago and I really like this refrigerator because it had an extra feature which you could use for drinks and dressings without opening the whole refrigerator the design was great The only problem was after the fourth year the Freon one out and I only had a three-year warranty but LG had a factory warranty up to five years so I was able to get a new parts for free
